VSTX 16U JESS

I’m incredibly excited to introduce myself as the Coach for this upcoming 16U volleyball season with VSTX! I bring with me a deep passion for high-level, competitive volleyball, but even more than that, I’m driven by the transformation that happens when a group of individuals becomes a unified, unstoppable team. Watching young athletes develop, overcome challenges, and rise to new heights is what fuels my coaching philosophy.

This season, my personal goals extend far beyond the scoreboard. I hope to sharpen leadership skills within each athlete, foster lasting friendships, and build a strong, supportive community both on and off the court. We'll work together to clarify personal goals, improve communication, and build confidence that will serve these athletes long after their volleyball careers.

From a physical and competitive standpoint, we will train with high-caliber strategies, challenge our endurance—both physically and mentally—and push our athletic limits. This includes focused work on agility, vertical jump, strength, and overall conditioning. We will hold ourselves to high standards, striving for excellence in every rep, every drill, every game.

However, my vision doesn’t end with hoping for returning players for next season. I want this season to ignite a passion for volleyball that runs deep—no matter where their paths may lead. More than just athletes, my goal is to help shape disciplined, respectful, considerate, and confident young women who carry themselves with integrity both in the gym and in life.

My name is Coach Aleman. I graduated from Sherman High School and Texas Tech University. I have been a public education volleyball coach and teacher for the past 16 years. I will be starting my 17th year as an educator and coach this fall. I was a high school head varsity volleyball coach for 11 years and a middle school volleyball coach for 5 years. Volleyball is my passion and livelihood! I am excited to be a part of this great organization and look forward to watching our athletes grow and work on their craft in this sport that we all love and share a passion for.

FOUNDER/DIRECTOR

I have been coaching youth sports for almost two decades with volleyball being the center of this blessing for about 15 years. I strongly believe in using sports as a catalyst to teach our youth accountability, discipline, respect, teamwork, confidence, work ethic, and gratitude…winning is a biproduct of all these aspects.  I have had the pleasure of leading several teams of multiple age groups to the USAV regional bid tournament due to their hard work and perseverance. I established Velocity Sports Texas to build a community that is focused on the growth of their child, both competitively and personally. All the glory goes to God, all the gratitude goes to the parents, and all the pride goes to the players.

CLINIC ASSISTANT COACH

I've played for VSTX the past two years, and I am now playing for an 18U National Team. My dream is to be a volleyball coach one day, and I have been blessed with the opportunity to start coaching now! My goal is to help every player find a love for the sport like I did, and to help them find the right balance of fun and enjoyment of this sport while being intentional and focused.
