I have been coaching youth sports for almost two decades with volleyball being the center of this blessing for about 15 years. I strongly believe in using sports as a catalyst to teach our youth accountability, discipline, respect, teamwork, confidence, work ethic, and gratitude…winning is a biproduct of all these aspects. I have had the pleasure of leading several teams of multiple age groups to the USAV regional bid tournament due to their hard work and perseverance. I established Velocity Sports Texas to build a community that is focused on the growth of their child, both competitively and personally. All the glory goes to God, all the gratitude goes to the parents, and all the pride goes to the players.

Volleyball has been a lifelong passion of mine, and I am grateful for every opportunity to share that passion through coaching. With God first in my life, family at the center, and as a proud parent of two amazing kids, I carry those values into everything I do both on and off the court. My journey in the sport began in California, where I built a strong competitive foundation and developed a deep love for both indoor and beach volleyball. Playing throughout college allowed me to further strengthen my skills, expand my knowledge of the game, and grow as both an athlete and leader.
As a coach, I am dedicated to helping athletes develop not only their technical skills such as passing, setting, serving, and communication, but also their confidence, leadership, and overall understanding of the game. I believe volleyball teaches important life lessons including discipline, perseverance, accountability, faith, and the value of teamwork. My coaching style focuses on strong fundamentals, positive encouragement, and creating a competitive yet supportive environment where players can reach their full potential.
For me, coaching is about more than just winning—it’s about inspiring athletes, building character, strengthening families, and creating lasting memories through the sport I truly love.

My name is Coach Aleman. I graduated from Sherman High School and Texas Tech University. I have been a public education volleyball coach and teacher for the past 16 years. I will be starting my 17th year as an educator and coach this fall. I was a high school head varsity volleyball coach for 11 years and a middle school volleyball coach
My name is Coach Aleman. I graduated from Sherman High School and Texas Tech University. I have been a public education volleyball coach and teacher for the past 16 years. I will be starting my 17th year as an educator and coach this fall. I was a high school head varsity volleyball coach for 11 years and a middle school volleyball coach for 5 years. Volleyball is my passion and livelihood! I am excited to be a part of this great organization and look forward to watching our athletes grow and work on their craft in this sport that we all love and share a passion for.

My goal is to help every player find a love for the sport like I did, and to help them find the right balance of fun and enjoyment of this sport while being intentional and focused.
